Atelier aL

We are a design-forward studio in Oklahoma City, creating architecture, objects, and spaces that are deeply rooted in place and grounded in craft.

Founded in 2020 by architect Adam Lanman, the practice emerged from a non-linear path into architecture — a trajectory that informs our willingness to approach each project from unexpected angles. We work fluidly across scales and disciplines, blending architecture, artistry, and ecology to produce work that is both inventive and enduring.

Every commission is treated as a collaboration with clients, makers, and the land itself. Our process is adaptive and exploratory, grounded in the belief that architecture is a precise and thoughtful intervention — one that listens, responds, and amplifies the relationship between experience and place.

The studio’s work has been recognized with multiple AIA Design Excellence Awards and featured in publications including PLAIN Magazine an online publication that features curated content on design, art, architecture, The editor’s picks section of Dwell magazine, Art Focus a quarterly publication of the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition and 405 Magazine Oklahoma City’s local home and garden publication.
