︎DESIGN BRIEF

The project included the renovation and necessary upgrades to install two a new lobby and locker rooms to an existing 30,000 sf private fitness center located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  The existing fitness center included an Olympic size pool, full basketball court, indoor tennis courts, weight training areas and an official size boxing ring.

The current locker rooms were outdated and out of use as well as undersized for the scale of the facility. A full reconfiguration of the interior locker and lease space areas revealed both a generous new space for updated locker rooms as well as an ingenious new internal access control circulation zone between new lease space, locker rooms and entry lobby areas. This allowed one employee to control the entire 30,000 sf facility.

The property owner had been an amateur boxer. We sculpted the new space to reflect his love of sport and also allow encouragement and visual appeal to users of the facility. A new entry to the existing building was developed to match the rebranding strategy for the complex. The project was completed in 2021.
